Watch Video: Rock Star Takes First Passenger Flight in KleinVision Flying Car
French musician, composer, performer and record producer, Jean-Michel Jarre, has become the first passenger to experience the marvel of the KleinVision flying car, reports a press release.
This epic journey occurred two weeks ago at the Piestany International Airport, Slovakia, where Jarre flew at up to 2,500 ft on two separate occasions. At the controls was visionary, co-Founder and creator of the flying car, Stefan Klein.
75 year-old Jarre described as “the Godfather of electronic music” enthused after his flights, “It is like being in a Jules Verne book, but for real. One second you speak to the driver, and next, you are up there in the air, an amazing experience.”

Klein added, ”From dreams to reality, we have taken flight together with Jean-Michel, opening a new era of transportation with a touch of magic.”
The Slovak Transportation Authority certified the AirCar for flight in January 2022 following the successful completion of 70 hours of rigorous flight testing compatible with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. This included over 200 takeoffs and landings. Today, the vehicle has demonstrated more than 500 such events. The flying car has retractable wings, folding tail surfaces and a parachute deployment system. In car mode, the tail folds in, making it smaller than the flying version.
The rights to produce the vehicle in China were recently sold by KleinVison to Hebei Jianxin Flying Car Technology. This licensing agreement gives the Chinese company exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute the flying cars using KleinVision’s technology.
The first flight of a prototype AirCar was conducted at Nitra Airport in 2019. The vehicle was then introduced to the general public the following month in Shanghai, China.
Morgan Stanley, a global leader in financial services, believes the flying car market could be worth, annually, USD1.3 trillion by 2040.
