TCab Tech, Autocraft partner to launch eVTOLs in the UAE
China-based electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft manufacturer, TCab Tech, has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UAE-based Autocraft.
The agreement, signed on the sidelines of the 7th China International Import Expo, aims to explore the commercial potential of TCab Tech’s E20 eVTOL aircraft in the country, with an initial focus on aerial sightseeing and urban air taxi services.
The E20 is a long-range passenger eVTOL designed specifically for advanced air mobility (AAM).
It accommodates one pilot and four passengers, with a cruise speed of 260 km/h (162 mph) and a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
The aircraft has a range of 200 km (125 miles) and a maximum payload capacity of 450 kg (992 lb), making it well-suited for urban and short regional routes.
Expanding air mobility in the Middle East
The alliance combines TCab Tech’s eVTOL expertise with Autocraft’s operational experience and market insight in the UAE, with both companies aiming to advance air taxi services and promote sustainable, efficient transportation in the region.
Additionally, through this partnership, TCab Tech marks its official entry into the global market and plans to continue expanding across the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
As a global hub for finance, trade, and transportation, the UAE provides a favourable environment for eVTOL applications.
Moreover, government initiatives like the Smart Autonomous Mobility Strategy 2030 underscore the nation’s commitment to high-tech, sustainable transportation solutions.
Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Autocraft utilises the UAE’s strategic geographic and policy advantages to drive sustainable urban transport initiatives.
The company is actively involved in smart transportation projects and collaborates with international partners to advance technological innovation.
