Advanced Mobility Hub, LIFT Aircraft Middle East successfully demonstrated HEXA Electric Aircraft

Advanced Mobility Hub, a member of Multi Level Group (MLG) and LIFT Aircraft Middle East have successfully conducted a live demonstration of the HEXA electric light sport passenger aircraft in Abu Dhabi.

This marks a significant milestone for Advanced Mobility Hub and MLG in their efforts to position Abu Dhabi and the UAE as leaders in the global aviation industry.

The demonstration took place during the 4th ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2025 and the Global Sustainable Marketplace.

It showcased the aircraft’s advanced technology, safety features, and all-electric propulsion system.

The event was attended by government representatives from multiple countries, reinforcing the growing global interest in integrating advanced air mobility solutions into national transportation strategies.

Furthermore, in addition to the successful flight demonstration, Advanced Mobility Hub and LIFT Aircraft unveiled the AeroX Club Project, a pioneering platform designed to redefine light aerial sports in urban environments.

The initiative, supported by the Smart Autonomous System Council (SASC), aims to introduce a new era of light personal flying and air sports experiences in the Middle East.

Regulatory and investment backing

HE Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), emphasised the UAE’s commitment to ensuring the safe integration of electric aircraft into the aviation landscape.

He stated that providing direct experience of electric light sport passenger aircraft operations in Abu Dhabi is a continuation of the various trials conducted by the UAE and ongoing efforts to regulate this vital sector and transition into the commercial operation phase.

Al Suwaidi further noted that GCAA is focused on developing the necessary legislative framework and infrastructure to support this emerging technology while maintaining the highest safety standards.

HE Badr Al-Olama, Director General of Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), welcomed the launch of LIFT Middle East as a critical step in positioning Abu Dhabi as a global hub for smart and autonomous mobility.

“We are pleased to witness the launch of LIFT Middle East, an initiative that further strengthens the objectives of the Smart and Autonomous Vehicles Industry (SAVI) cluster to establish Abu Dhabi as a global hub for smart and autonomous mobility solutions across air, land and sea,” said Al-Olama.

He added, “This significant development underscores the forward momentum of the efforts led by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council to solidify the emirate’s position as a pioneer in urban mobility and a leader in industries of the future.”

Pioneering the future of air mobility

Furthermore, Dr Abdulla Al Ghafli, Acting Director General of the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), highlighted the emirate’s dedication to creating a supportive environment for advanced air mobility.

He noted that Abu Dhabi plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing innovation in the sector by providing a robust legislative environment that encourages trials and testing of electric aircraft technologies.

Al Ghafli also stressed the importance of public-private partnerships in accelerating the development of advanced air mobility solutions.

On his part, Mohamed Salah, CEO of MLG, noted, “This strategic partnership with LIFT Aircraft Middle East and Africa is more than just delivering cutting-edge aviation technology; it is a transformational step towards strengthening the position of Abu Dhabi and the UAE and establishing LIFT Middle East as a regional manufacturing and local assembly centre, reinforcing the UAE’s vision for technological leadership and innovation. The AeroX Light Sport Aviation Club project will further enhance this vision, offering aviation enthusiasts a unique experience in the future of aviation.”

Matt Chasen, CEO of LIFT Aircraft, echoed this sentiment, emphasising the long-term vision for personal air mobility in the region.

“Our expansion into the Middle East and Africa region from Abu Dhabi and the UAE through this strategic partnership with Advanced Mobility Hub, a member of Multi Level Group, marks a milestone for the future of lightweight personal air mobility,” he said.

“Through LIFT Middle East, we are building a foundation for local manufacturing, technological advancement and widespread adoption of lightweight personal aviation solutions. The AeroX Light Sports Club project will open up a new world of possibilities, allowing aviation enthusiasts and professionals alike to experience the future of aviation in a safe, innovative and accessible way.”
