Vjaitra, FlyNow Aviation and SALAAM partner to advance air mobility

India-based incubated aerospace start-up, Vjaitra Air Mobility (Vjaitra), Austria-based FlyNow Aviation, and Sky Alliance of Automated Air Mobility (SALAAM) have joined forces to explore strategic synergies.

Together, the alliance aims to shape the future of clean mobility by developing hydrogen vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) solutions for the Middle East, US, and European markets.

In a recent high-level discussion, Ratandeep Tripathi, CEO of Vjaitra; Yvonne Winter, Co-Founder of FlyNow Aviation; and Corvin Huber, Founder of SALAAM, aligned their vision to accelerate sustainable air travel by leveraging advanced developments in hydrogen VTOL technologies.

In his LinkedIn post, Tripathi noted, “This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to zero-emission aviation and enhancing urban and regional connectivity through cutting-edge technology.”

He added, “Together, we aim to establish a robust framework for deploying hydrogen VTOLs across key global markets, setting new benchmarks in safety, efficiency, and sustainability.”

Furthermore, last month, Vjaitra unveiled its VTOL air taxi designs. It is currently developing two aircraft models: the VJ-220 electric VTOL – with up to 220 km zero-emission flight – and the V-600X Hybrid Variant – a 600 km range for long-haul urban and regional missions.

The company has ambitious plans to expand its operations globally, introducing efficient urban air mobility in the USA and intercity travel in Europe.

In the Middle East, the focus will be on luxury air transport and emergency response in key cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh, boosting tourism and business travel while setting a new standard for sustainable aviation.

Moreover, SALAAM is a newly launched advanced air mobility (AAM) consortium which aims to provide global support for cities, regions, and nations looking to develop AAM infrastructure.

The consortium brings together leading industry players, including FlyNow, Kookiejar, and Vjaitra Air Mobility, to streamline the process of integrating AAM ecosystems into urban and regional transportation networks.
