Archer Teams Up With Jetex To Develop Global Air Taxi Infrastructure
US-based electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) manufacturer, Archer Aviation (Archer), has entered a strategic partnership with global aviation services provider Jetex to support the future deployment of its Midnight eVTOL aircraft, beginning with infrastructure in the UAE.
Announced at the Paris Air Show, the collaboration aims to retrofit and enhance Jetex’s network of private aviation terminals to accommodate Archer’s air taxi operations.
Jetex operates 40 fixed base operator (FBO) facilities across more than 30 countries, and this will offer Archer a significant platform to scale its planned commercial vertiport network.
The two companies will initially focus on sites in the UAE, with expansion plans covering Jetex’s broader international portfolio.
According to the announcement, Archer and Jetex will work together to design an integrated passenger experience, pairing the operational requirements of eVTOL aircraft with Jetex’s luxury service standards.
Focus On Passenger Experience & Global Expansion
Adel Mardini, Founder and CEO of Jetex, said, “eVTOL technology is an instrumental part of our industry, designed to transform urban mobility and shape the future of business aviation. We are proud to work with our partners at Archer on making this ambitious vision a reality at Jetex Abu Dhabi and our other global destinations.”
The partnership builds on Archer’s existing infrastructure initiatives as the company prepares to commercialize its Midnight aircraft. Upgrades at Jetex facilities will aim to support daily eVTOL operations while maintaining Jetex’s emphasis on high-end customer service and technology-driven experiences.
“Building a beautiful, safe and high-performing aircraft is only one aspect of our business,” said Adam Goldstein, Founder and CEO of Archer.
“To succeed in the UAE and beyond we need to pair Midnight with strategic infrastructure that allows us to operate by delivering a premium experience for our passengers. With their wide-ranging global portfolio, and deep expertise with high-end customer service, Jetex is a perfect fit as a partner in Archer’s commercialization strategy.”
The announcement follows a series of recent developments for Archer in the UAE, including regulatory design approval for the country’s first hybrid heliport at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal.
The company also continues to work with regional aviation stakeholders such as Abu Dhabi Aviation as it advances its certification and operational plans in the Middle East.
