eVTOL Insights’ confirms industry site visit to ERC System as part of its Europe Conference in Munich this September

eVTOL Insights is excited to announce ERC System will host an exclusive industry site visit as part of its upcoming Europe Conference, taking place in Munich this September.

On Tuesday, September 9th, registered delegates will have the unique opportunity to tour ERC System’s testing facility in Erding, located just outside Munich Airport. An exact time hasn’t been confirmed, but it will take place in the afternoon (approximately between 4pm and 5pm CET).

This site visit offers attendees an insider’s view of ERC System’s pioneering work in electric propulsion and system integration for next-generation aircraft. Attendance is limited exclusively to conference ticket holders.

ERC System’s journey has been shaped by the dedicated support of three distinct and influential partners: Prof. Dr. Rudolf F. Schwarz of the IABG, the company’s founding investor, DRF Luftrettung and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Florian Holzapfel from the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

United by a shared vision to solve the pressing cost–time dilemma between conventional helicopter services and ground transportation, these partnerships have laid the foundation for the development of ERC’s innovative eVTOL platform.

After years of intensive development, analysis and testing, ERC reached a major milestone in 2023 with the successful vertical takeoff of Echo, one of Europe’s heaviest full-mass demonstrators with a mass of 2,730 kilograms.

This achievement represented a key moment in ERC’s progress, significantly reducing technological risk in the development program and validating the depth and precision of its engineering work.

The year 2024 was where ERC revealed Romeo, its second full-scale, full-mass demonstrator generation. With this aircraft, the company aims to achieve a successful flight in 2025 and advance to the next stage of our development program.

The visit to ERC System adds significant value to the event programme, which already includes:

  • A full-day conference featuring keynotes and panel discussions with industry leaders on Wednesday, September 10th
  • An additional site visit to Munich Airport on Thursday, September 11th, which will provide delegates with an opportunity to learn more about the aviation hub and its work to integrate eVTOL aircraft within an airport setting

Jason Pritchard, Executive Editor at eVTOL Insights, said: “Our Europe Conference is designed to give delegates a well-rounded view of the eVTOL landscape in Europe. By offering hands-on access to ERC System and Munich Airport, we’re delivering an unmatched experience that blends knowledge, networking, and behind-the-scenes insight.”

Early Bird tickets are available until this Friday, July 11th and priced at €500, after which tickets will then be available for €700.
