“UrbanLink Reaches Agreement with Major Finance Company to Lease 10 Beta Alia eCTOL Aircraft”
UrbanLink Air Mobility, a pioneering South Florida-based Advanced Air and Maritime Mobility Operator, has announced this week, an initial agreement with a major alternative asset finance company to lease up to ten (10) BETA Technologies electric conventional takeoff and landing (eCTOL) aircraft from their current order book with BETA.
The agreement positions UrbanLink to launch all-electric operations in late 2027 when the anticipated first delivery occurs, utilising a network of Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) across South Florida, with planned routes extending north to Orlando and Tampa, and south through the Florida Keys to Key West.
UrbanLink also aims to acquire BETA’s aircraft once available, with operations expected to launch from a network of vertiports currently being developed in partnership with airports, municipalities and county governments.
In parallel, UrbanLink is in discussions with several major international airlines to provide connecting services from Florida airports, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach. The company also plans alongside leading cruise lines to offer air services between airports and cruise ports.
