Dubai Awards ANRA Technologies Contract To Build Next-Generation UTM Platform

Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP), in partnership with Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans), has awarded ANRA Technologies the contract to design and deploy the Emirate’s next-generation Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM) platform.

The initiative aims to establish one of the most advanced digital airspace management systems in the world, supporting safe, scalable, and innovative unmanned aircraft operations across the Dubai Control Traffic Area (CTA).

The program will be built on ANRA’s US-based UTM platform, a production-grade software system already in use globally to integrate drones and advanced aerial vehicles into complex airspace.

The platform will enable Dubai to authorize flights, monitor real-time airspace activity, detect and resolve conflicts, and coordinate operations with stakeholders and commercial operators.

Key Capabilities Of The New System

The UTM system will deliver an integrated digital airspace picture by fusing radar, weather, NOTAM, and live drone tracking into a single real-time view.

It will also provide advanced operator tools for flight approvals, dynamic airspace management, conflict detection, and emergency coordination.

Additionally, connectivity features will ensure robust, high-availability data exchange between authorities, operators, and cloud-based services.

The platform is designed with scalability in mind; it will evolve to support counter-drone technologies, advanced analytics, and future integration with Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and Air Traffic Management (ATM).

The alliance says deployment will take place in phases, with initial capabilities made available early and continuous upgrades introduced over time. ANRA will also establish a dedicated presence in Dubai to support long-term operations.

“This project represents a major step forward in enabling safe and efficient drone operations in Dubai’s Control Traffic Area (CTA),” said H.E. Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of DAEP. “The system will provide Dubai with the digital infrastructure to lead in unmanned aviation and ensure stakeholder collaboration from day one.”

H.E. Ibrahim Ahli, CEO of Dubai Air Navigation Services, added: “Dubai’s sky is embarking on a new era of innovative solutions. Dubai Air Navigation Services is honoured to be at the forefront of this transformation, which will facilitate Dubai’s development and expansion. We are deploying a UTM system of the highest standard, which will guarantee the most stringent safety and efficiency standards. This is Dubai’s dedication to influencing the future of aviation.”

ANRA’s Role In Dubai’s Drone Ecosystem

ANRA Technologies is a recognized global leader in advanced UTM solutions and brings experience from previous deployments in Europe, Asia, and the United States. The company’s selection highlights Dubai’s commitment to adopting proven international technology to strengthen its drone ecosystem.

“We are honored to deliver this transformative project for Dubai,” said Amit Ganjoo, Founder and CEO of ANRA Technologies. “Dubai’s forward-thinking approach sets a global standard for drone integration. By combining Dubai’s vision with ANRA’s proven UTM technology, this initiative will not only transform local airspace management but also serve as a blueprint for the wider Middle East and beyond.”

The collaboration is expected to create one of the world’s most advanced UTM platforms, positioning Dubai as a leader in digital aviation infrastructure and setting a benchmark for urban drone integration.
